Monday’s Top 5

This week starts out with a timely reminder from Nathan Bransford that there’s no such thing as an overnight success story.

Anthony Lee Collins posted about the weight of published words, where he considers the inherent difficulties in publishing each book of a series as you write, rather than publishing them all at the end. (a la Lord of the Rings)

Leanne Baldwin started a brand new blog, and is in fine form with her post Portland, Land of the Free… Books. Quite frankly, this makes me want to go live in Portland. Can you buy a plane ticket with seventeen dollars and a collection of plastic dinosaurs?

In the grand tradition of Kim Pugliano, Abigail from Oh My Words! has an amusing post titled It’s my Birthday and I’ll Stalk if I Want To!

Finally, Ms Criddle from C’Mere! is back from her brief blogging break while she moved across the ocean, and ponders the question that we’ve all wondered from time to time: Why does every difference of opinion with a spouse devolve into missiles and Nick Cage movies?
