I’m about ready to break into song, but I’m resisting the urge.
But why bother? It’s summer! The sun is shining, the beach is calling, and my husband has a week off work so we can go on a family vacation. Bring on the tacky music!
We left yesterday to head to the beach for the week. And yet I’m talking to you here today. Isn’t modern technology grand?
We’re leaving all computers at home, and so I won’t be checking my email, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media for the next week. But because I knew you’d miss me, I pre-wrote some blog posts for your enjoyment. Please feel free to read and comment — I’ll respond when I get back.
I’ll be spending the next few days building sandcastles, exploring the Gold Coast, and relaxing with my family. I hope you all have a great week. Try not to be too jealous.
(Perhaps this year there will be less sand eating.)
Where’s your favourite holiday destination?
Have fun – we’re in the winter season. Don’t know if you know this trick, but bring baby powder with you. If you sprinkle it on sandy feet or hands it helps to brush the sand off. At some point sand eating does stop.
Wow. I really wish I’d read this comment before I left! Baby powder is going to be my new best friend.
Beach!? That sounds great, especially with all the snow on the ground here in Canada’s capital(Ottawa, Ontario)! Have fun! 🙂
Thanks! I did! It’s so hard to imagine people playing in the snow when I have to barricade myself inside and put on the air-conditioning because it’s so darn hot here. 😉
